Description
A most unusual wedding present for a brother incorporating interestingly illustrated shadow boxes around a Jewish star.

An oval shape executed in flowers and stems surround the star.

Note the anagram in the top segment of the star. The letters mean simply "You are the Eternal Great Hero, O Lord".

The Hebrew letters down the left side spell out the names of the husband and bride and each letter is the opening letter of a quote from the Song of Songs.

A detail of the acrostic. The artist placed tagin [scribal ornamentation] on the initial letters as seen clearly here on the "daled" and "nun".

A profusion of domed Jerusalem homes in the hills of Judea executed in a peasant style.

I placed the traditional house prayer at the star's base. The top of the star holds the Hebrew date of their wedding.
