The artist, Norman, creates exclusive ketubot for couples. These ketubot are one of a kind as you can easily see in his two main galleries: his Early Works and his Main Gallery. Aside from his exclusive ketubot, there are a large variety of ketubot in giclee form available and these are found in the "Ketubot" section of his Online Store.
An exclusively designed ketuba can take weeks or months to prepare, depending on how much advance notification the artist has. For an exclusive design, he begins with his "sketch stage" whereby he sends you, the customer, sketches based on the filled-in questionnaire and by process of elimination, you both arrive at a design and he begins in executing the work immediately. However, for a ketuba found in his Online Store, it is a more simple matter. You simply choose the ketuba that suits your fancy. Most of them are still available in the original, meaning you are purchasing his artwork for that design that you want. There is only one copy of the original, obviously. Or you can order a giclee of that design and Norman can either write your entire text in his own hand, or you can choose one of the digitized texts found on this website.

To understand more about a ketuba as a giclee, simply visit his Online Store and each ketuba page will show you the variety of digitized texts available to you.
For couples interested in an exclusive design, there is no payment at all for sketches. Once the sketch stage is completed and the couple commits to Norman for his design, a personal check is sent to him for 75% of the agreed upon commission fee and he begins work immediately. The remainder of the commission fee is paid to Norman once the ketuba is finally in your hands. Original pieces are sent by UPS and the UPS fee is above and beyond the commission fee. All other charges are inclusive with the commission fee.
The same applies for the giclee. However, the giclee is ordered as you commit and you send out a down payment, again, for 75% of the fee. Postage and handling is not included. The price of the giclee is for the blank ketuba. Depending on how you wish your text to be inserted -- whether it be by his own hand, or using a digitized text for personalization after -- the entire fee is decided upon this decision.
